Animal Attraction

Animal Print_001 pm

Hello Readers!

I love it when an outfit falls together. I am wearing the Giselle Wrapped Dress in Leopard from Legal Insanity. Being on my Lara kick, I of course tried it on over my mesh body and loved how the standard sizes worked with it.

Then there are the -wild- “Animal Attraction” eyebrows from Madrid Solo that were PERFECT. They are a June Group Gift that might still be available in the store if you hurry! I managed to finally make it to the Hair Fair and fell in love with this hair/hat combination from Tableau Vivant called “Scarlett.” I have been loving the eye shadows from La Boheme and the one I am wearing is aptly called “Feline Instinct.” I have my updated Alicia skin on from Deesses and one of the new lipsticks that go with it called “Foudroyante.” The necklace is from one of my new favorites Random Matter and is called “Cambria.”

Lastly I have the Ramonda Heels by Glamistry that have been updated for this round of the Kustom9. The HUD has a few animal prints to choose from and this one was purrfect! Corny I know, but I am in -that- kind of mood, besides, my name is Silly isn’t it? 😉

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Summer’s End

Hello Readers!

Summertime cannot end soon enough for me.  I am sure there are a fair amount of you who love summer and based on where you might live in the world it could be very nice for you. For me however, summer is quite warm and very nearly uncomfortably so. I am never sad to see the summer come to an end, and I always enjoy the summertime thunderstorms we have had here lately. They signal a change in seasons is coming soon!

My SL mom (Discovering Destiny) makes all sorts of lovely things, so many I can’t blog them all!  When I saw these latest releases I just HAD to be sure I photographed them for you.

Item of the Week

IOTWLogo_800px in width

As I wrote about in a previous post, Nariko and I often bounce all kinds of ideas off one another.  One of them was Item of the Week.  I honestly can’t recall how that conversation went, but I know it had something to do with the popular “Look of the Day” posts of bloggers.  We took it a step further when we thought on how most models in SL are expected to style.  Typically we are given a theme and expected to style to the theme.  Nariko and I thought it would be fun to mix it up and not go with a theme to style to, but an item to style with.  So Item of the Week (IOTW) was born!

Here is what you need to do to participate:
1. Join the IOTW Flickr group: http://www.flickr.com/groups/iotw
2. Style with the named item in any way you desire.  (The ITOW will be declaredon this blog every Friday.)
3. Take a photo, upload it to Flickr, rename it “IOTW – [item] – [avatar name]” and add it to the IOTW group.
4. You may include a description of your styling process, link it to your own blog for your style card, or whatever you like. The sky is the limit!

Our goal with ITOW is to inspire you to style whatever your heart desires, whatever story you wish to tell, all based on the Item of the Week. You can style as many looks as you like, or even skip a week or two. No prizes. No regulations. No judges. Just created for your own pure styling fun and as a way to put that inventory of yours to work and share your talent with the virtual world! Designers, if you like, you can also create outfits and items surrounding our IOTW item as well, or even give them out as your month’s or week’s group gift so that customers can walk in to your store to style a whole look with it.  If you choose to do so, do let me know and I will happily share that on my blog.  So here we go…

WEEK ONE = HELMET!

Ready? Set? STYLE!

We look forward to bearing witness to your unbridled creativity!

Sinner

Hello Readers!

I have been seeing several creepy Halloween looks on my blog feed.  I am not at all into gore, and I am feeling the spirit of the season so I thought I would share this look with you.  My take on Halloween.

(I do have to say I am LOVING my new machine and learning to take better photos.  I hope you can see the difference!  I am still working on learning GIMP so bear with me.  Helpful comments/suggestions are always welcome!)

Fantasy October_003eI had been quite aware about the Body Modification Expo going on thanks to all of my blog reading.  It wasn’t until I saw the skin from Glam Affair and the hair from Tableau Vivant (they are bundled, though you can purchase each separately) that I knew I had to get there ASAP.  What an event!  I did my fair share of shopping, as much of what was there suited my October spirit wonderfully.  I expect you will see a lot of those items in my upcoming posts.

Fantasy October_004eI had gotten so many wonderful items from the designers participating in the Fantasy Gacha Carnival that I had to blog another of the items as the event is still running through October 31st.  I am wearing the Crow Witch gown and necklace from Black Pearls.  It also comes in fire, earth, air, and water.  I am wearing the rare version in black.

Fantasy October_007eI LOVE these claws and have been looking for a reason to wear them.  I had picked them up for a styling challenge then felt they were overkill so I edited them out.  This outfit felt perfect for them.  They are called “Sinner’s Hands” by Ugly & Beautiful Designs.

Fantasy October_010eLast but not least we have this amazing tattoo.  It came from the Body Modification Expo of course.  It is from one of my long time favorites LOULOU&CO, and is called MELOPEE.

Here is a more simple listing of the items worn for this look: (Most were linked above, if not, please check my SLurls page.)

skin > Glam Affair – Neva – Bodymodification Exclusive

gown & necklace > Black Pearls_Crow [Queen]

I hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading!
