I have been a busy bee in and out of SL. Life is good, no complaints here, though I do miss blogging regularly. Today I had one of those blogging opportunities and had to capitalize on it. With all the activity in my lives right now, it is a challenge to get those quiet times where I can just be creative…those are times I need in order to style and blog with any decency at all. After a morning of some styling I scratched my creative itch. Sadly it wasn’t for anything I could share on my blog, as it was a casting styling, but trust me if I am not selected I will show everyone! At the tail end of the process I had one of my newest friends in SL come into my ims. I have to say that after 8 years in SL I am always pleased when I can make new friends. This particular friend is a pose maker. I had just bought ALL his poses before meeting him (thanks Miele Tarantal) and once we had met we hit it off like we had been pals for years. I love when that happens. In our initial conversation, after I had fangirled all over his ims praising his poses and witty names of them (I love clever people), Chance Greatrix of DARE poses promised me his next pose sets on the house. I was thrilled, but I would never expect him to really do that. Not that he is dishonest in anyway, but I don’t mind paying for quality items in SL. I have had many fun conversations with Chance since that initial chat, so I thought there would be more fun banter when he came into my ims today…but instead there were gifts! Chance has two new pose sets out…Flowy and Face Hands. So here I am in Flowy 5, falling fashionably into bed! Thanks Chance! I hope your poses are already set up in your store because I am telling folks about them!
Seriously…my name isn’t Silly for nothin’! Anyway, I was at Truth looking at new hairs like I do and fell in love with this one called Rumi, tho I think it should be called Chola. I have seen a lot of cholos and cholas in my lifetime and for the non-Spanish speaking, a chola is a female gangster or thug or even the girlfriend of a cholo (gangster or thug). Now you have had your Spanish lesson for the day! So this hair made me think of a chola therefore I had to style like one. I love the attitude of Legal Insanity so of course it was a perfect match for my chola feeling. I am wearing the Bettie Corset (melon version). It comes in sizes for several mesh bodies (Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) as well as a fitted version in addition to the standard sizes. I have to say I love seeing more and more designers, provide sizes specifically aimed at mesh bodies. Mesh bodies are taking over the grid! And mi barrio is courtesy of KaTink, Cracked Den 17.
It doesn’t come in mesh body sizes, but the standard mesh sizes work well and it has a HUD! I do love HUDs and the increased options they provide. It was so hard to choose between the textures! In the end I chose this one because of the cute lil birdy…it made me think of Twitter! I coupled it with the Raven jewelry from Modern Couture.
The Lucy Jumpsuit has coordinating heels, aptly named the Lucy heels. There was no HUD for these, but look at them, love the straps! Oh and do notice my finely polished nails, those are courtesy of PUMBY who has an awesome assortment of brightly colored polishes for Slink and Maitreya perfectly matched to the theme of Tropical Nights.
I was recently asked to blog for Styles by Danielle and incredibly flattered by the request so here I am in some sexiness by Danielle! It is a new lingerie called Lindy and I am wearing it in red. Being as in love with Lara as I am, I was pleased to see an applier for her. With one click I was dressed! Here is some information about Lindy from Danielle:
Lindy lingerie comes in five colors and each color is available as four vendors:
1) Standard SL Avatar Clothing Layers 2) Standard SL Avatar Clothing Layers + Appliers all-in-one layer 3) Maitreya Mesh Body Applier/HUD with six options for wearing (NO Standard layers) 4) Belleza Mesh Body Applier/HUD with six options for wearing (NO Standard layers)
Each vendor contains sheer ruffles, so it is a complete outfit you get in each of them. You only need to choose if you wish appliers or not. 3) and 4) can be a great choice for your RP, if you’re wearing Maitreya or Belleza.
I completed the sexy Lindy with the new Malva Heels from Glamistry, available now at Kustom9.
Now for some sexy music…

The FAD Event continues with Tropical Nights and this round speaks to the color lover in me! Today I have on the Ghee Lime Neon Pemplum Mini. It is HUD controlled so you can pick the color of the waist ruffle and belt. Ghee also provided matching nail polish and shoes…
The polish is called Neon Mani/Pedi and is only for Slink, which was fine as I am wearing my Lara (when am I NOT these days??) and just popped on my Slink hands and feet to show off this brightly colored polish set that works so nicely with the entire ensemble. The shoes are called Ghee neon Bow Peeps for Slink High feet and are also HUD controlled so they can match perfectly with any of the Ghee Neon dresses.
Completing my FAD Tropical Nights look is a new necklace from Legal Insanity called the Layered Chain necklace, the Tootsie hair from Analog Dog, Madrid Solo‘s Bubble Gloss in Orange Red and Feline Instinct 3 from La Boheme. The pose is another from the latest pose set from KaTink called Portia.
Today I visited the Best of SL Boulevard as an official BOSL blogger. I thought it fitting to do my first official blog post in EVOLVE by the one and only Reign Congrejo Jameson. I am wearing the Wild Thing dress along with shoes and shades by Glamistry and one of my favorite Exile hairs called Falling for You. My pose is from Linda Reddevil’s pose shop, Devilish Poses.
So why start with a dress from Reign? I have gotten to know Reign over the course of my experience in Miss Colour of Couture 2014 and Miss Virtual World 2015 and have enjoyed the growth of our friendship. She is one of the most down to earth, funny and straight shooting people I have met on the grid and I enjoy her company. Getting to know her better was one of the many benefits of being in both competitions. Once I got over the fear I have with most new friends in not wanting to get in their IM box too much, I found that I could ask Reign pretty much anything and she would always have something to say… amusing, blunt, honest…Reign speaks her mind.
It was one of those times in her IM box that I got to asking about what it took to be a BOSL blogger that I wound up getting to blog for BOSL. I was thrilled of course and I look forward to spotlighting the many fine designers that have a shop on The Best of SL Boulevard.

I was sorting through my inventory in my never ending quest to clean/organize/lighten it, when I came across a head scarf made by my SL mom, Discovering Destiny (aka Lark) from On A Lark. I really don’t wear head scarves enough, and I see why, finding a hair to go under them can be a real challenge. I am wearing the April Headscarf in Eggplant with a bangs attachment (JOPE57) and hairbase from Boon. I have my Lara body on and was excited to use one of my older tattoos from Letis Tattoo called Bohemian with the Omega System Kit trick to get it to apply to Lara. Once again I was pleased with the results. I love the new lipsticks from Deessess that go with my Alicia skin and I am wearing the L’adoree shade for light skins. La Boheme just seemed so fitting with this look so I am wearing Glamour Eyes: Cassiopeia Set 1 #5. Then their was the Banjara silver talisman necklace from Zaara which really helped make the look. It was fun to dress up the simple Madison romper from The Secret Store, it was a lovely canvas to begin with. The Elysion sim was ever the perfect backdrop, and my pose is one from the new set called Andrea by KaTink, now available at Sneak Peek.
