I have some sexiness from Artizana to share with you today! In the above photo I am wearing one of the designs from the Jaily Collection. It comes in 7 different styles with matching shawls. It is short and flirty and fun and perfect for the summer.
Next I am wearing the Phyxate dress. This sexy, curve hugging dress is made for everyone as it comes in clothing layers and with every major mesh body applier any resident could think of. The color variety is true Artizana…several amazing hues to choose from to compliment any skin tone.
Artizana is currently looking for more bloggers. Interested? Complete the online application.
Both backgrounds are part of the new Wintermoon pack from KaTink, Marit has really outdone herself on these!

The FAD Event is open again with round three…
I LOVE color, the brighter the better so this round’s offerings are right up my alley!
I am wearing the Alice Hat in purple by Wicca’s Wardrobe and the Joie blouse and pants by *MSS*. My pose is Andrea 1 by KaTink (@ Sneak Peek). But wait, there’s more…
Look at the sexy back on this blouse! I love it! I am wearing my Lara in these photos, so you can see the standard sized mesh fits very nicely over it.
The styling contest is still in effect this round, so not only should you come on over to check out all the brightly colored goodness, you should pick out a few items for yourself, style ’em up and enter the contest for a bag full of goodies!

I was sorting through my inventory in my never ending quest to clean/organize/lighten it, when I came across a head scarf made by my SL mom, Discovering Destiny (aka Lark) from On A Lark. I really don’t wear head scarves enough, and I see why, finding a hair to go under them can be a real challenge. I am wearing the April Headscarf in Eggplant with a bangs attachment (JOPE57) and hairbase from Boon. I have my Lara body on and was excited to use one of my older tattoos from Letis Tattoo called Bohemian with the Omega System Kit trick to get it to apply to Lara. Once again I was pleased with the results. I love the new lipsticks from Deessess that go with my Alicia skin and I am wearing the L’adoree shade for light skins. La Boheme just seemed so fitting with this look so I am wearing Glamour Eyes: Cassiopeia Set 1 #5. Then their was the Banjara silver talisman necklace from Zaara which really helped make the look. It was fun to dress up the simple Madison romper from The Secret Store, it was a lovely canvas to begin with. The Elysion sim was ever the perfect backdrop, and my pose is one from the new set called Andrea by KaTink, now available at Sneak Peek.

This is likely my last possible reminder for you that the second round of the FAD Event is about to be done! I was having a delightful chat with Jude Tatham (the event organizer) where she reminded me this round will close up on July 25th. So that means there isn’t much time left to have a look at all the creative designs this round’s creators have in store for you.
I have been on a mesh body kick lately and as I have said before, I was a long time Physique user and recently acquired a Maitreya, and I haven’t taken it off! Well maybe once for an outfit I couldn’t make work on the Maitreya, but I have to say that is getting to be more rare than it used to be. I finally joined the Maitreya camp when I was in a show for L’Amour as they have recently launched a curvy model division and I knew I had to be a part of that. I was to model in a curvier form, but the designs were surprisingly not made for the Physique. I say surprisingly because I had pretty much encountered most designers do make Slink compatible designs. In this case I took it as a sign that I needed to stop riding the Maitreya fence and just do it. I did and was thrilled until I found my skin tone is so old… (how old is it??) that Deesses no longer makes it. I pouted for about a minute then adopted another skin from Natalie’s store that was -close- to the Silly I know and love. It was alright, but then like a week later Natalie must have read my mind (or a lot of customers got after her lol) and my skin was updated in the new shades! Since then I have barely taken my Maitreya off and always try outfits with it on first to see if it will work (if they don’t already come with a Maitreya size).
Ok so, back to the point of my post. The FAD Event round 2 is nearly over! Being that I rarely take off the fuller, updated, mesh me I found that the Alena Bow Dress by [FLRN] fit quite nicely over my mesh body and I wasn’t even wearing the fitted mesh option. I am actually wearing the medium with some alphas turned off and I really liked the fit. My close friends know I am not a ‘bow’ person, but this dress is just sooo cute and well textured I got over my bow issues. It comes with a HUD (I have said how much I love HUDs right?) that make it a bunch of dresses in one. I had a hard time choosing, but in the end this flower pattern won out.
I had to pick up this great hair from Truth called “Lucrecia.” I had to have it for its perfect flower headband and the carefree feeling it added to the look. I added some accessories from MUKA and the latest from Glamistry of course. They have their Ramonda Heels out in a new version for Kustom9, PRINTS! I couldn’t wear any with this look as the animal prints didn’t go with my flower look, but I wore them anyway for their awesome HUDtasticness. Glamistry really goes with EVERYTHING. 😀
I am of course using some more awesomeness from KaTink. The background is Fresh Air 9 and I used the Andrea 5 & 8 poses from the new release available at Sneak Peek.

I’ve been giving something a lot of thought lately. The topic of blogging in SL is a rather big one with many facets. I have seen rants from bloggers or designers about one thing or another and I have never considered myself a public ranter. My close friends know I will privately rant from time to time, but that is the sort of thing you do to vent among friends, nothing that needs to be on social media or my blog. I enjoy each and every designer and event I blog for. I try not to take too much on so I don’t short change anyone. As we all know RL and SL can’t be helped at times, and we end up with too much going on at once to really do a great job everywhere we are committed. We have to make some choices and some things don’t get the attention they should. No one is perfect.
I have been a blogger for a lil while now and I am by far not the end all be all expert on things, but I am a person with an opinion and I am entitled to it, just as we all are entitled to our opinions. As a blogger I always do my best to adhere to the requirements of the designer or the event. I have been fortunate to blog for those I have come to know in some way, whether as friends or as contacts in the SL modeling world. It is my experience those are the best blogging relationships to have, where the blogger and designer/event organizer know one another or get to know one another and become friends. I think that takes a bit of the “business” out of it and helps people see the person behind the avi on both sides of the coin. I think if more did that we would see less scathing blogger notices or strict blogging requirements. I really do try to see things from both sides. I understand that designers/organizers want the most possible exposure to bring in the Ls to keep their business/event going, but let’s not lose sight of the human aspect. For me, (in RL and SL) personal relationships and treating others with respect should not be sacrificed for the $/L$.
One of the long standing beliefs I have had is that there is a population (hopefully a small one) of bloggers who are out to just get free items, and really don’t do right by the designers or events. I would imagine these sorts of bloggers don’t get very far as any designer or event organizer would be hip to that relatively quickly if they monitored their blogging pool at all. I have always worked to be sure I am never perceived as one of -those- bloggers.
So what am I going on about then? I think the blogger/designer/organizer relationship would be better if each party took a lil time to get to know one another. This is just one blogger’s opinion, but when we report our blogs to you, or post in your Flickr groups, some comment would be nice and perhaps even a bit of a chat. I know some designers/organizers may think they are too busy for that, but are you really? I think some investment in the human relationship between people is well worth the time.
All that being said, how about some styling credits? I am wearing one of the lovely creations from Dead Dollz called Isabeau in Snow, available now at this round of Shiny Shabby. I of course am wearing some HUDtastic Glamistry Heels, specifically Trillium. Then there is my background and pose, once again done by the fabulous KaTink. The pose is Garbo 1 and the background is Blithe 16.

Going to the beach has always been a production for me in RL, from when I was a child to now in taking children (and dogs) to the beach. I always wish I lived closer to the beach so it wouldn’t have to be this way. I have avoided the beach for years because of this (and traffic), then this summer I threw out that mindset and just went. I didn’t make a production of it, I simply allowed myself and my son only one bag each and we had to make that work. And it did! We packed our one bag of only what was needed, hopped in the car and went. It was surprisingly easy and without any hassle at all. I really do have to kick myself for so many years not going to the beach because of all my previous experiences. All it took was a change in mindset.
So here I am at the beach thanks to KaTink‘s “Hello Summer 7” background. I am also in a KaTink pose called Demi 10.
The Body Art Hunt is still going on this month and I am wearing quite a few great designs from that event. First I have the striking “Desperado” tattoo from White Widow. I am completely on my mesh body bandwagon right now and recently invested in the Lara body from Maitreya having been a long time Physique user. I am not crazy enough like some of my friends to buy every mesh body out there (you know who you are), but I have a feeling I may end up trying the Belleza too. I really love curves and one of the Belleza shapes has curves in spades! So as I was saying, I am wearing the Lara body and I love how the Desperado tattoo looks on it. In addition to the Desperado tattoo I have on one of the eye makeups from Zibska called “Celia Carnivale 04.”
And while you sadly cannot see my fabulous nails in the photo, I am wearing another Body Art Hunt item from Dark Passions, Koffin Nails “Carnival Colors.”
And lastly, we have my fun skirt. A new release from Legal Insanity called “Amya.” Once again I must profess my love for HUDs and thank Datrip for including them in his creations. The underwear of the skirt has a BUNCH of options, and I had fun clicking through them all. While the skirt is not available in a Maitreya specific size, the standard mesh sizes are workable with the right alphas enabled.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you are having an amazing summer where ever you are!

Summer and grad work certainly keep a gal busy! That aside, I have to remind you all that the 2nd round of the FAD event is still underway and you still have some time to pick up some great fashion like the ensemble above, “Money on my Mind” by LaVian, available as a part of round 2 of the FAD Event. One of the things I really do appreciate about clothing is HUDs and options, LaVian is never short on those. This ensemble is made up of the coat, shirt, shorts, and belt (all in one) and they are ALL color change! So there really is more than just one outfit here.
My pose is Misaki 10 and the background is Tillicum Island 18, both from KaTink.
This round of the FAD event is over soon, so don’t delay. I will have more to show you tomorrow!
