I am often invited to judge Mr. & Miss Virtual World challenges…and that is not a brag or anything, just something I enjoy doing. As a model who had put herself out there to be judged by others on many occasions, I feel my experiences make me qualified to fairly judge others who are putting themselves out there in competitions. I am always flattered to be asked and always look forward to going. I take care in making sure I am presentable. As a former Miss, I firmly believe I have a standard to uphold. So when looking for something of quality to wear, it is no surprise that I default to Wicca’s Wardrobe. As any who know me or read my blog at all, Wicca is a longtime friend of mine and while we have not made an official SL relationship out of it, I consider her a sister. She and her man Red made my country costume when I was competing in 2015 and I LOVED it. So Wicca and MVW still go hand in hand for me. Besides, while Wicca has no “Face of Wicca’s Wardrobe” or anything, I know I am the Wicca’s Wardrobe Runway Princess! One of the other things I enjoy about judging MVW events is seeing friends that I don’t always see…like Pam Astonia! Pammy cracks me up and is just so talented and lovely…chatting with her is always a perk of judging!
The photo above was my look for the 2nd and final auditions of this round of Miss Virtual World 2017 and here are the details:
I know I am not alone in my love of my mesh body. It is exciting to me to watch the trend in clothing designing in SL at present. It really is getting increasingly common for a designer to create an item that is not only standard size, but made for quite a variety of the mesh bodies available on the grid right now. Dead Dollz has always been a versatile and creative brand. When I opened the envelope to find Astra for the Vintage and Cool Fair, I about fell over. This dress looks amazing on Lara and comes in a variety of colors. Here is all you need to know about Astra:
It is the exclusive item at Vintage & Cool which started August 21st and ends September 4th
Astra is an original Maitreya Compatible Fitmesh creation +Applier
Available in 6 colors: Blue – Black – Petroleum – Purple – Red – White
Cost is L$350
Get yours before its too late!

Seriously…my name isn’t Silly for nothin’! Anyway, I was at Truth looking at new hairs like I do and fell in love with this one called Rumi, tho I think it should be called Chola. I have seen a lot of cholos and cholas in my lifetime and for the non-Spanish speaking, a chola is a female gangster or thug or even the girlfriend of a cholo (gangster or thug). Now you have had your Spanish lesson for the day! So this hair made me think of a chola therefore I had to style like one. I love the attitude of Legal Insanity so of course it was a perfect match for my chola feeling. I am wearing the Bettie Corset (melon version). It comes in sizes for several mesh bodies (Belleza, Maitreya, Slink) as well as a fitted version in addition to the standard sizes. I have to say I love seeing more and more designers, provide sizes specifically aimed at mesh bodies. Mesh bodies are taking over the grid! And mi barrio is courtesy of KaTink, Cracked Den 17.
The FAD Event continues with Tropical Nights and this round speaks to the color lover in me! Today I have on the Ghee Lime Neon Pemplum Mini. It is HUD controlled so you can pick the color of the waist ruffle and belt. Ghee also provided matching nail polish and shoes…
The polish is called Neon Mani/Pedi and is only for Slink, which was fine as I am wearing my Lara (when am I NOT these days??) and just popped on my Slink hands and feet to show off this brightly colored polish set that works so nicely with the entire ensemble. The shoes are called Ghee neon Bow Peeps for Slink High feet and are also HUD controlled so they can match perfectly with any of the Ghee Neon dresses.
Completing my FAD Tropical Nights look is a new necklace from Legal Insanity called the Layered Chain necklace, the Tootsie hair from Analog Dog, Madrid Solo‘s Bubble Gloss in Orange Red and Feline Instinct 3 from La Boheme. The pose is another from the latest pose set from KaTink called Portia.
It has been a crazy week for me in RL, but here I am…unwinding in SL with one of the latest creations from Dead Dollz. I just loved the flirty lil Bedelia dress. (Available now at Mesh Avenue until August 31st.)
“Bedelia is an elegant mini dress in light shiny silk. The dress is available in 5 colors, each pack contains fitted mesh for Maitreya’s Lara, Belleza’s Venus 3.0, The Mesh Project’s Mesh Body, and 5 standard sizes for SL System Body.” – Kiddo Oh
The delicate bow at the back had to be noticed, so I put on my new short curly ICONIC “Worth It” hair (August’s Group Gift) and struck a pose from KaTink (Portia 4). I always smile a bit wider when a designer includes sizes for mesh bodies and so since I am in love with Lara, I am wearing the Maitreya version of Bedelia, which of course fits perfectly. I am wearing Glamistry Heels (Parrasana) to complete the look.
Thank you for reading and I hope that you too get some time to unwind!
Lush by CoCo has some new releases and as always they are FAB! You will see more of what I am wearing below, but once I put on the Jungle Queen (blanc) I fell in love. It fit over my Lara beautifully (that is always where I start these days) and it really did make me feel like a queen. I decided to run with the white and put it on everywhere! I love this hair from Boon (PPK204), and Madrid Solo came out with more of her special eyebrows which I am loving. I also got in some more Nailed It, this polish is called Ethnic and available at PENUMBRA’s Fashion 360. I complimented Madrid’s Adorned Eyebrow Accents with eyeliner and lips from her London Liner set (a long time fave of mine…so versatile!).
Here you can see the Jungle Queen in all its glory. A sexy dress that exposes the flesh in all the right places. KaTink brings the magic with their background (Silence 34) and a pose from their new Portia set, available at The Thrift Shop.
