I am not one for tiaras typically and I actually avoid wearing them. I think down deep I felt as though I had to earn it in some way. When I reflect on my life experiences with tiaras, I only wore one on my wedding day and I smile every time I see it on display in my home. I got to be a princess that day and had no qualms about wearing a tiara. I was never a “girly-girl” imagining herself to be a princess and wearing a tiara and a fluffy dress for the sheer joy of it. I was much more of a bookworm, enjoying the far away places books could transport me to. I feel like now in my virtual reality I have earned wearing a tiara as I was just selected to participate in THE biggest pageant on the grid, Miss Virtual World. Getting to this point in my SL modeling journey has been a very long road, but I am finally here. I am not going into this blind and I know the tremendous work it will be, but I also know that there is much to be gained by participating…and I don’t mean in the monetary sense. As I have moved from competition to competition in SL I have found amazing new friends in each one…my SL social network growing and being enhanced by each new person I meet…it is remarkable. I know Miss Virtual World 2015 will be no different. So with that I congratulate the other lovely models who were selected in round two with me, as well as those selected in round one and those who will be selected in round three. I look forward to the ride!
